2005 Steve Mariucci Celebrity Bocce Tournament

June 8, 2005

Steve Mariucci's 2nd annual Charity tournament was held at Palazzo di Bocce on Wednesday June 8th.  Last year a field of 32 teams was included in a crowd of approximately 700 spectators and celebrities.  Last year's event raised approximately $225,000 for Detroit Lions Charities.  For more details on our 2006 Tournament, spectator information or to bring a team to the event, please contact the Detroit Lions Community Affairs at 313-216-4171 or Palazzo di Bocce at 248-371-9987 x13.

2005 "Battle of the Boules" - March 20th, 2005

This first Annual event took place in a one-day winner take all tournament.  The Michigan Petanque Club and members of Palazzo di Bocce challenged each other to a Petanque Tournament at Bordine's Nursery, then a Bocce tournament at Palazzo di Bocce.  This year, Palazzo di Bocce was victorious and will hold the "Battles of the Boules" trophy in our trophy case all year.
